Adjacent to Cook is Waldron Hall, which is home to the Waldron College of Health and Human Services. The facility houses The Schools of Nursing, Social Work and Allied Health. It also includes RU Family Health Clinics where teams of students and faculty offer medical services to people who are uninsured, underinsured or at risk for health problems. Through its on-campus clinic, outreach sites, and mobile health unit, the clinic provides low cost medical, counseling, nutrition, hearing and speech therapy services. Waldron also houses the George M. Harvey Center, which provides information resources and services to the College. The Center works closely with McConnell Library to promote information literacy, instruct faculty and students in the use of online resources, and develop collections that support the Waldron curriculum.
Fact: Waldron, named in honor of Elbert, Evelyn and Karen Waldron, is a 60,000-square-foot facility and among the nation’s most comprehensive and technologically sophisticated learning environments.
