Open Cell Foam Insulation

Closed Cell Foam Insulation

Closed cell foam such as NCFI’s InsulStar® and BASF’s WallTite® add a moisture vapor barrier and drainage plain to the superior insulation and air barrier qualities of foam insulation.

InsulStar® is a spray-in-place polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation that is formulated from renewable agricultural resources and is odorless and completely non-toxic after installation. As a high density SPF it strengthens walls and blocks outside noise pollution, and as a closed cell structure it controls moisture vapor eliminating the water to support mold growth. Plus InsulStar® is blended with an anti-microbial to inhibit mold, mildew and bacterial growth.

WallTite® is an Air Barrier Association of America certified insulation system that provides isulation, air barrier, vapor barrier and drainage plain all in one product. With its 90% closed cell content and high insulation R-value it is superior to traditional systems such as peel ‘n’ stick and torch applied sheet goods. Plus it adds structural strength with seamless construction and easy installation.

Closed Cell Roofing System

Sprayed polyurethane roofing systems have been engineered to provide a superior energy-efficient, long-lasting roof for any building. NCFI Roofing System is a closed cell SPF that provides an evergy efficient, reflective, durable coating that is seamless and can extend the life of existing roofs through restoration. Typical roofing systems have seams and fasteners that are all prime candidates for future leaks, not so with Conklin®. A one-inch thickness has an insulating R-value of 6 and when installed over an existing roof, you retain the existing R-value while adding to it.

As a light sustainable roofing system - about eight ounces per square foot - it can be recoated for years of extended life. As a rigid foam it can withstand foot traffic and lower roof surface temperatures by 15-30%, decreasing the amount of heat transferred into the building’s interior. The roofing system has an acrylic base coat with a highly reflective top coat and is superior at withstanding expansion and contraction caused by temperature extremes.
